Nomeca Hartwell's Biography:
Nomeca was born in the middle of the 20th century in the year
following World War Two and she finished college with a degree
in French around the time of the 7 Day Mid-East War. She had
a camera in her hands from grade school onwards. At some
opportune time she migrated west to a mining claim. Left to
her own devices, she passionately studied about and transformed
trees to treen, flowers to sketches and birds to sachets. In
between suction dredging for gold and shuttling cars, she took
up songwriting and woodworking. Currently she maintains a west
coast hotline for Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy and works as a Fire
Lookout during the summer.
Ever since she joined the local camera Club in 1989, she has
been exploring the world of slide photography which she finds
very versatile and satisfying.
